This
is an academic convocation which is conducted every 1st semester of the
school year to welcome/orient new students and to re-orient old
students on their academic pursuit in the university. Part of the
program is the introduction of the academic team members and the formal
welcome of new students by the VP Academics and the college deans. This
formal ceremony marks the official beginning of the students’ academic
career at the university. This convocation includes a formal procession
of the new students and the faculty in academic regalia.
every student was asked to attend a certain event which is named as Academic Emphasis Day where new students and returning students is being welcome to the new semester and it's a way to introduce the new faculties and staffs of AUP. on this certain event faculties and staff was ask to introduced each other, also they were ask to explain why should we stay in AUP.
the main part of the event was introducing the awards and championship that AUP had gain for the past years also they said that AUP radio broadcast station was the champion compared to other schools radio station.
this is a actual photo of the students preparing themselves to march down the aisle of PIC. in order for the freshmen student be formally welcomed to their respective departments. after the marching of the students they were followed by our faculty members and college deans.
in the middle of the program they welcome the speakers that are ask to speak for the audience and students. they also called the attention of the new students and introduce to them where are their respective departments and who are their faculties to meet and professors to encounter.
and to end the program everyone sing the AUP hymn song and gave some announcement for the upcoming events that may happen soon.
